Emily Sutphin

Upon graduating from the University of Texas, Emily’s lifelong curiosity and passion for foreign cultures, food, and historic architecture led her to Paris where she studied French patisserie in between weekends of traveling anywhere and everywhere.

For the next eight years, Emily pursued many aspects of the restaurant industry that ranged from back of house, to public relations and even included opening a fast casual restaurant. While all of this provided invaluable experience, Emily (finally) realized that her true passion was in creating experiences for people while improving their quality of life through design. Emily then packed up her bags for New York City to obtain a degree in Interior Design from Parsons.

Having now returned to her home state, Emily is thrilled to have found a passionate group of people at Kim Lewis Designs who truly believe in the transformative powers of design. Outside of work, Emily can be found cooking, doing yoga, or, most likely, trying any one of the amazing restaurants Austin has to offer!
